PROPERTY TAX RATE FOR CITY OF LIVERPOOL

There is hereby levied for general purposes and use by the City of Liverpool, Texas for the tax year of 2022/2023, and for each year thereafter until otherwise provided, an ad valorem tax at a the rate of $0.142623(1.426 Cents) on each One Hundred Dollars ($100) of assessed valuation on all property, real, persona, and mixed within the corporate limits upon which an ad valorem tax is authorized by law to the be levied by the City of Liverpool, Texas . 

NOTICE ABOUT 2023 TAX RATES

Property tax rates in the City of Liverpool. This notice concerns the 2023 property tax rates for the City of Liverpool. This notice provides information about two tax rates used in adopting the current tax year’s tax rate. the no new revenue tax rate would impose the same amount of taxes as last year if you compare property taxed in both years. In most cases, the voter approval tax rate is the highest tax rate a taxing unit can adopt without holding an election. In each case, these rates are calculated by dividing the total amount of taxes by the current taxable value with adjustments as required by state law. The rates are given per #100 of property value. CITY OF LIVERPOOL ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE.

 

The City of Liverpool will hold a meeting at 6:30 PM on September 5, 2023 at City Hall, 8901 Calhoun Street, Liverpool, Texas  7757 to consider adopting a proposed tax rate for tax year 2023.  The proposed tax rate is $0.114452 per $100 of value

Unencumbered Fund Balance

The following estimated balances will be left in the taxing unit’s accounts at the end of the fiscal year.  These balances are not encumbered by corresponding debt obligation.
