FALL FESTIVAL SAT. SEPT. 24TH
Bring your family and enjoy a great day with your neighbors to help the town Hall com. raise funds to help the community in the coming year. There will be a car and tractor show, crafts and vendors, games, cake walk, live and silent auction, pie contest, and BBQ plates. See you there.
BOY SCOUT TROUP 487 held a food drive for the Food Pantry Aug. 27th and stocked the food pantry. We thank these guys for a job well done to serve the community. Craig Kartye-Scout Master, John Bradford-Advancement Chair, Reed Kartye, Wyatt Sustanty, John Griffith, Owen Bradford, Jared Kartye, and Ethan Hoover. They will have a booth at the Fall Festival and will be taking food donations for the Food Pantry.
FOOD PANTRY The Town Hall Com. was able to assist 11 families during August, thanks to the generous support of the community. The Food Pantry is open each Friday, 10:00 to 12:00. If your family is in need of assistance, please let the community be of service to you.
BURN BAN IN EFFECT Please continue to keep a close watch on your property and your neighbor’s property during these dry times. We have been very blessed that the few outbreaks we have experienced have been very quickly handled by our Volunteer Fire Dept.
WATER DEPT. We have had both of our water Wells tested, and the water level in both Wells are in good shape. We will be replacing the motor on pump #2. We acquired three bids for the job, and O’Day Well Service was awarded the bid. O’Day Well Service drilled the well Twelve years ago, and will do the job Sept 20th.
Your City Council has been working diligently on the budget for next year. We are pleased to announce that our Liverpool city taxes will stay the same rate as last year, which is .236850 on each $100 taxable unit. Our next City Council Meeting is on October 4th, 2011.
